Shannon Monroe

I come from a service background of 35 yrs. in the field. I started in 1989 in the U.S. Coast Guard, Attended HVAC/Refrigeration school in Yorktown VA. and working on chillers and refrigeration aboard U.S. Coast Guard cutter Legare. After a 4 year tour, got out and was a service tech and installer for various residential and commercial mechanical contractors while attending Louisiana Tech on the G.I. bill to pursue a degree in forestry (I wanted to be a game warden in my home state of Louisiana). Turns out there was a 10 year waiting list for this position, so I opted out. Moved to Nashville TN in 2002. Obtained TN mechanical contractor’s license, then started, and operated an HVAC mechanical company which grew to 5 employees. I also worked part time as an instructor at Miller-Mott technical college teaching 1st year HVAC. Sold the TN HVAC company in 2012 to move to Michigan. Obtained Mechanical Contractor License for the state of Michigan.
Worked for a couple Michigan based contractors. Worked for Carrier Commercial Service for 4 years before accepting a position at Carrier Great Lakes in September of 2022. I enjoy playing guitar, writing songs, playing golf, watching LSU football (Geaux Tigers!), and coaching my now 12 yr. old son in football.
I am working out of the Lansing office providing tech support for ductless, Toshiba-Carrier VRF, and assisting with support for our residential and commercial products as well as field commissioning the Toshiba-Carrier VRF products.

Mike Tyslicky

I joined CGL’s service group in February of 2023. I am supporting our residential products and customers.

I spent almost 4 years working for another wholesale company in their service group performing a similar role.
I have 15 years in the industry. I have spent most of that time as a service tech, but I have also installed equipment too.
The best part about this role is helping the next generation learn this industry. I really enjoy teaching classes about our products.
I am a contractor and I hold a Michigan Mechanical License.
I will be based in our Lansing branch. In My spare time I like to travel with our 5th wheel with my wife and kids. We also love trail riding in our Jeep.
